Welcome to the COI Publicity Register.
The COI Publicity Register (PR) is a database that is run and maintained by the Central Office of Information’s Direct and Relationship Marketing division for the benefit of government departments and the citizen. It was set up to create a channel to hard to reach target audiences, through regular contact with trusted “intermediaries” on the high street.
Members of the COI Publicity Register have opted-in to receive updates and literature relevant to their work and audiences from government departments. Most have daily contact with the public and want to be kept informed of policy changes and government services, which they can pass on to citizens.
At present, there are some 68,000 members helping get key government information to those who need it most.
When you join, you specify what kind of literature they want to receive by selecting CATEGORIES and INTEREST groups most relevant to you
- Categories indicate your organisation’s type of business such as advice centres, GPs, homeless groups, pensioners organisations, job centres, family services etc.
- Interest group refers to the type of person your organisation has contact with such as the elderly, unemployed, disabled, lone parents etc. so we can send you the most appropriate materials.
If you would like to join you will get:
- Information from government departments and other public bodies on issues that affect your customers to order and display/pass on
- The DWP quarterly newsletter Touchbase to keep you up to date with the latest news and information
